The Terry Rogers Community Action Award & Grant has been established to provide funds for local residents who want to do what Terry did, bring food to our seniors, support our police, fill the gaps of other programs by giving their time to the residents of Signal Hill. Additional details on how to apply will be posted here soon, with recipients announced annually at Concerts in the Park

ODE TO SWEET TERRY

You breezed into my life without knowing, 

I’d be there … and I wouldn’t let go.

I was promised you’d be here forever,

now I know that just isn’t so.

We spoke of what would be our futures,

and how we’d relax in the sun,

but those days won’t be, my sweet friend,

you’ve been given your wings… days are done.

I’ll fly to you one day, my sweet friend,

and we’ll laugh at the life we had planned.

Do save me a seat on your cloud dear,

I’ll have two tiaras in hand.
